Bringing Books Home Grant

The Book Fairies seeks to make a significant impact on literacy by partnering with schools and organizations that send books directly into underprivileged homes.

Each grant will be awarded based on need and on how the books will be utilized. As such, please include as much information as possible to help us select the grant recipients.

All schools and community outreach programs must serve medium-to high-poverty clients (50% – 100% students receiving free/reduced lunch, families living at or below $44,863 a year).

The book boxes can be delivered or must be picked up at our warehouse in Freeport, based on your location. Our regular delivery zone is Eastern Queens through Mid-Suffolk.

Grant recipients must provide The Book Fairies with a report at the end of the school year detailing how the books were used and the impact the books had on high need children and families.
